Nature Observations is a Christian company, which publishes three magazines every month, intended to educate everyone about nature. We are a British company, and subsequently most of the articles are about British nature. Some articles, of course will be relevant to many areas. We do not have any external advertisements, so you have a straight magazine full of articles and other relevant content every month.
The company was started in the early months of 2016, when a group of six young people joined together to form a nature club. In the March of that year, a newsletter was published, simply containing a short piece on what there was to see that month, and followed by a spotting sheet. The next one was similar in the autumn of the same year. However, in November 2016, the first magazine was published - a 12 page edition entitled 'Nature Explorers'. This continued for two issues before the magazine was re-named 'Nature Observations' for the February 2017 edition, the name by which it has been known ever since.
Until September 2018, the magazine could only be offered as an electronic version, as we could not afford to print it on our own home printer, but Tony Lawn, of Pingles Publishing stepped forward, and he is now printing all our print editions for us.
Fast forward on to December 2018, when the need was felt for a magazine for younger children, as the editor and his writers were getting older and the articles were getting more complex as they grew up. This magazine was launched with the January 2019 edition, published under the resurrected original name of 'Nature Explorers'. A month later a magazine for older children and adults was launched, called 'Nature Investigations', containing more complex articles.
In December 2020 Philip Snow joined forces with us, and began to write articles for 'Nature Investigations' and occasionally in 'Nature Observations'.
The magazines are currently run from our base in the High Weald, in the South East of England, though we also have staff in North Wales.
